Route Deviation
ISYS Route Deviation checking enables the comparison of a vehicle location with a pre-defined route to
determine if the vehicle is following the planned route and is keeping to schedule.
ISYS Route Deviation checking can be executed either in real time or as a post process.
Information (Parameters) sent/recorded from the vehicle can also be compared to values stored for each section of
the route with alerts being raised for deviation from route and/or exceedance of parameters.
Typical applications include:
Checking the location and progress of buses and other public transport vehicles.
Checking the location and progress of vehicles with high value or high security loads.
Checking and recording the application of road gritting operations.
Road surveying.
ISYS Know How
GPS supplied coordinates cannot be relied upon to be 100% accurate in providing a vehicles location.
Vehicle direction of travel is therefore used to assist in the determination of which road a vehicle is on.
This is especially important if we need to know precisely which carriageway a vehicle is on.
